Sale of the Middlepark Yearlings
THIS DAT. j The annual sale of the Middlepark Stud Company's yearlings was held this afternoon. The weather was bitterly cold, and there was a most limited attendance, which included very few buyers. Mr Frederick Cotton occupied the rostrum, and, as each youngster was led around the ring, spoke at length of its qualities and breeding. Of the twelve lots catalogued, only seven changed hands, the others failing to elicit a bid, and those that were disposed of were knocked down at ridiculously low prices. The seven youngsters sold realised the sum of 765 guineas, an average of 109 guineas each The following are the lots sold t— Bay fllly by Apremont— Miss Plat MrG.
