THE OAMARU INFANTICIDE CASE.
MEETING OF CREDITORS. WELLINGTON, Mabch 29. The Minister of Justice is still communioating with the authorities, and endearouring to arrange for Mary Morgan, who was charged with infanticide at Oamaru, feeing tried at theenßiiiug criminal sessions at Dunediu. In the meantime, should Mrs Morgan apply for bail on her own recognisances, the Government, it is understood, will not objuot to her being released on these terms. The Governor, Lady Jervois, and His Excellenry'a A.DC. left for Onehunga in the Hinemoa to-night. The Chief Justice does not go to Auckland, Mr Justice Gillies having decided to take the criminal sessions. Tho Gazette to-night calk Parliament together for the despatch of business on May 13. At a meeting of Smith's creditors this afternoon the Official Assignee said the question for the creditors to consider was wkether they should not cable Home for the arrest of the debtor for committing felony, inasmuch as he left the Colony with valuables in hi 3 possession, and did not pay his creditors The meeting adjourned till next Tuesday.
