ACCIDENT TO THE HAWEA.
— ♦ — On the Rocks at Nelson. fFIB PbBSH AhSOOIATION.) NELSON. Maboh 80. The Hawea got on the rocks at the entrance of the harbour at four o'clock thia morning. Efforts were made to get her off, "but without success. Further efforts will be made at thia afternoon's tide, but it ia doubted if they will be successful till the tides make sufficiently, which will be in a few days. No damage has been done. If she gets off, she will leave at 5 a.m. tomorrow for Ficton and the South. [The Hawea, Captain Hansby, left Lyttelton for Wellington on Saturday. She arrived at Wellington at 115 am. on Sunday morning, leaving in due course ria the Strait. It will be observed from the telegram that no one having friends on board need have the least cause for uneasiness. No additional details have been received at the Union Company's •race here.]
