" Rough on Rats."

i TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB. Sir, — I noticed in last Saturday's iss«« of your valuable- paper a paragraph in reference to a case of poisoning in Wanganui, caused through a child taking an arsenical compound known as " rough on rats." Whatever its effects may be on rats, it is certainly not beneficial for human beings. Why is such a deadly poison as the above allowed to bo sold without any restrictions whatever ? Sir, I think it is time this dangerous and obnoxious compound was suppressed by the Government. — I am, &c, LOGOS. [The amending of the Sale of Poisons Act was one of the subjects which fell through last session. — Ed. Star.]
