HAWEEA, March 10. Mra Florence Evangeline Mumby, wife •f Mr Eichard Mumby, of Hawera, died I Hub afternoon whilst under chloroform, administered to allow of four teeth being extraoted. Two doctors were present. An inquest will be held to-morrow.

DUNEDIN, March 10. At the inquest on Alexander M'Crey, a ] Usherman who waß found drowned in the harbour, the ovidence went to show that deceaaed probably fell into tho water while trying to reach hiß boat at night. His mate was in the boat waiting for him. He was not in liquor at tho timo. A verdict of " Accidental Death " waß given, the jury adding a rider that accommodation for flahermen landing Bhould be provided, and lighte placed on the wharf.
