The Pacification of Egypt.
[Reuteb'b TELEGEAMB.] CONSTANTINOPLE, March 7. It is expected that, owing to the massing of Greek troops near the Turkish frontier, the Porte will forward an ultimatum to the King of Greece, demanding that the Greek forces be disarmed. LONDON, Mahch 8. \ This morning's Daily News announces that instructions have been forwarded to Sir Henry Drummond Wolff, special British Commissioner to Egypt, to propose to the Khedive the desirability of fixing the Egyptian frontier at Wady Haifa on the Nile, and also to suggest that Egyptian troops should re-place the British forces in Egypt at an early date. [Special to Press Association.] LONDON, Makch 7. The Standard complains of the lavish borrowing of Queensland. The same paper says a Parnellite crusade will be commenced in England shortly. In the House of Commons Mr Pender's proposal to construct a cable between St Vincent and the "West Coast of Africa has been sanctioned by a large majority, despite the assertion made by Mr Henniker Heaton that tho contract for its construction was a dishonest one.
