In the House of Commons to-day, . a Bill was introduced, aud read a first time, ' dealing with the question of Tents and fixity of tenure of the Highland Crofters. Several of tho morning journals state that the Queen's Proctor will ■intervene iv the divorce case, Crawford t. Crawford and Dilke. Fed. 25. ' The market rate of discount has advanced If, aud is now -jf below the lank rate. >Ne*r Zealand securities: — Colonial produce remains at last quotations. Hides are dull, and there is slow sale, •with downward tendency. The weekly return of the Bank of England, published to-day, shows the total reserve of notes and bullion to be -.615,300,000, being an increase of J6400,000 during tbe week. The proportion of reservo to liabilities remains at* 49 per cent.
ADELAIDE, Ff.b. 26. In consequence of irregularities which have been discovered in the disposal of the funds of the Commercial Bank of South Australia, the Manager of the Bank has been suspended, and he will he delivered up to bhe police.
MELBOURNE, Feb. 20. The Board of Enquiry appointed to inYeßtigate the circumstances attendsakt upon the recent mishap to the Waihora have completely exonerated the captain and officers of the vessel from blame. The Board further recommends a survey to "be at once taken of the place where the Waihora .struck.

Arrived, laßt night—Hauroto, s.s., from Wellington. Sailed, yesterday afternoon—Maraxoa, s.s., for Auckland and San Francisco. To-day's market prices show a decline of all descriptions given. New Zealand wheat realised 3s 6d per bushel, or 2d less than last week. xsTew Zealand oats, Id lower,. 2s 4d; maize, 561 b, 3s, decline 6d; sugar market remains, steady.
