The Bishop addressed them, : and expressed the satisfaction which he i felt in receiving two ministers who came : from the Mother Church accredited by the Archbishop of Canterbury, whom all ! Churchmen nere esteemed so highly. The ■ Church in this diocese had recognised that i its members would benefit by the services • of those who were specially gifted to per- [ form the work of Missioners in reviving those who felt the need of revival, as all i Christiana at times did. His Lordship i asked the Revs Boddington and Mason whether they were wiiling to undertake this work, and on their responding in the affirmative, he gave them authority to act ' as Missioners in the Diocese of Christchurch. : ' The annual harvest thanksgiving service for the parish of S. Mary'e, Halswell, will be held in S. Mary's Church next Sunday evening, at 7 o'clock, when the church will be suitably decorated for the occasion. A harvest festival service will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Avonaide, at 7.30 I p.m. on March 5. The Rev R. S. Thorpe I will be the preacher. I A harvest festival will be held ia St I Saviour's Church, Templeton, at 4 o'clock I this afternoon. A tea-meeting and concert wjll be held afterwards in the schoolrsow, •
