The Hospital Staff.

The following letter appeared in the [ Lyllelton Times of this morning: — Sik, — Your correspondent " Nifllrg " is imperfectly informed as to the facts about the reduction in the salaries of the Hospital staff. Not only is the salary of the chief wardsman, Mr Brown (whom " Niffirg" styles the dresser), reduced onefifth, after fourteen years' service, but that of the dispenser has also been reduced onesixth, after several years' sovvice. I hear also that oue of the wardsmen has been dismissed, and a poor old man employed without salary, his keep being given to him. What is the Board about?— l am OUT-PATIENT, f ' Feb. 22.
