Rifle Shooting.
SYDENHAM EIFLES. The fifth competition of the Sydenham Rifles for the Officers' Challenge medals took place on the Hillsborough range on Saturday ; ranges, 200 yds, 500 yds, and GOOyds. The following were the highest scores : — .. First Grade. Sergeant Andrews 65 points Hon member Mf Parker ... 59 „ Sergeant Hamilton 51 „ Private Farland 40 „ Second Grade. Private Brinkman 51 points Colour-Sergt. Price 49 „ Private Allardyce 42 „ Privato Hutton 3G „ A competition also took placo for Mr Parker's field glasses, when the following results were obtained : — Private Skelton 05 points Sergeant Hamilton G2 Sergeant Andrews 59 „ Private Farland 4. „ The remainder were below 40 point.*.
