The following private telegram has been i received in Christchurch i'rom a share- : holder in the South Pacific Petroleum ; Company : — f "Havo spent three days working at : .Pacific with party of six. Can vouch that oil iB coming from rock at 980 f t; steady, good chow. Hole plumb, pipes loobo. Slate ' rock, with sandstone etaesks. Sydney , 'representatives are well satisfiedt Confidence fully restored. Have 'decided to finish the bore.
