SCRATCHINGS— ISLAND BAY MEETING. WELLINGTON, Nov. 18. A meeting of the licensed victuallers and others interested in the trade, has been held at the instance of a delegate from the Auckland Licensed Victuallers' Association. A Committee was formed to dißcuss what steps should be taken to endeavour to have two or three clau&eß in the Licensing Act repealed. Steps will also be taken to establish unity among the trade to support any member for Parliament who will further their interests. Tasman, Leon, and Revoke have been scratched for the Te Aro Handicap, Island. Bay meeting. i ■ i—
