ILLEGAL PAWNING.
THE LIABILITY OF PRINTERS. BLENHEIM, August 14. A commission agent was fined 5s and coats to-day for illegally receiving a watch in pledge, without being licensed wider the Pawnbrokers' Act. An information was laid against the proprietor of the Marlbonugh Times for publishing supplements without the name and address of the printer being thereon, as provided by " The Printers and Newspapers JSegistration Act, 1868." The proßeoution was baseM upon advance copies of the Bupplement containing correspondence re the the Hospital site, in connection with which two libel actions are pending, whioh advance oopies were distributed in the Borough Council meeting on Tuesday night. The case will be heard on Friday next.
