* A meeting of the Committee of the Christchurch Poultry, Pigeon, Canary, and Cat Society was held at The Shades on Friday evening last 5 present — Messrs R. Evans (in the chair), J. Mather, A. would occupy the stage, and the cats would be placed against the walla in the dreßs circle. Mr A. A. White, late of Auckland, was, on the motion of Mr A. Walker, seconded by Mr Goodman, unanimously appointed to fill the position of judge of Langshans,. which had been left open at the last meeting. Mr W. G. Walker proposed—" That a special general meeting of members be called a fortnight after the show, to consider the advisability of holding a Dog Show in connection with this Society." Seconded by Mr Baehford and _ carried unanimously. After some routine business, which included the appointment of Class Stewards, the meeting adjourned until tomorrow (Tuesday) evening, at the Hall. ~ M ~- M -~~~*-~-- i ---------"»-i
