Rumours of Another Engagement.
[Special to Press Association.] LONDON, April 28. Persistent rumours are afloat that a second engagement between the Russians and Afghans has taken place, and that the Russians were dofeated with a loss of one thousand. The Daily News hopes that the courageous patriotism of New South i Wales, in offering the service of their ' contingent to go to India, will bo imitated. The cost of the contingent, should thoy be transferred to India, will be borne by New South Wales.
