ANOTHER MYSTERIOUS DISCOVERY.
NAPIER, Jan. 24. A buggy accident occurred this afternoon. Mr Kinross wa3 driving down Shakespeare road, when the horse bolted, through the • breeching breaking. When opposite the Bank of New Zealand, the horse swerved, and, dashing down Browning street, capsized the buggy. Mr and Mrs Kinross were thrown violently on the pavement, the former being severely cut about the face. His wife, it is feared, has broken her arm. Jan. 25. The body of another infant was discovered jesterday m a box at the mouth of the Ngaruroro river. It appears to have been m the box some time. The thermometer registered 94 degrees m the shade to-day. **
WAIPAWA, Jan. 24. A woman named Ann Mary Packer was yesterday charged at Ormondville with manslaughter for rough treatment of the child of i_r John Bell at birth a few weeks previous. Prisoner was committed for trial. Bail was allowed, herself m ,£IOO and one surety of like amount.
