ST ALBANS.
The Christmastide services in connection with the St Albans Wesleyan Church were commenced on Sunday last, when the anniversary of the Sabbath School was celebrated. The church was tastefully decorated with flowers and evergreens, while round the walls wero the words "Behold I bring you good Tidings of great Joy," "Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward Men," and "His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor," exquisitely wrought in sprigs of the macrocarpa. A very pleasing effect was also obtained by placing the words " Hosanna in the Highest " over thej memorial window, ; and " The Prince of Peace" over the choir, the letters being formed with holly leaves. The services were conducted in the morning by the Kev W. Morley; in the evening, by the Eev Mr Erwin, of the North Belt Presbyterian Church. In the afternoon, the Eev C. H. Garland delivered an address, .after which the Tablet prizes were distributed to the successful scholars by the superintendent of the school, Mr J. Broughton. The children .sang appropriate hymns and Christmas carols during the day. The services were further continued on Christmas morning, at 7 o'clock, when the Eev W. Morley preached to a good congrega-
