[Eetjter's Telegrams.] LONDON, Dec. 24. Consols remain, at 99£, ex div, and New Zealand securities at last quotations. The markets for Colonial breadstuffs and tallow are without quotable change. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,950,000 quarters, an increase of 50,000 during the week. The homeward mails via Naples, per Orient R.M.S. Garonne, from Melbourne (Nov. 15) were delivered today.
[Reuter's Telegkasis.j ADELAIDE, Dec. 24. Arrived : This morning, Orient steamship Austral, from Plymouth Nov. 13.
MELBOURNE, Dec. 24. Goldsbrough and Co., Limited, held their usual weekly wool sale to-day, when 3100 bales were sold, making a total of 70,000 disposed of this season. Good greasy realised to 12|d, and good washed and scoured to 20jd. There was a large attendance of buyers, and brisk competition continues. Some large sales will be held after the holidays. The Government of Queensland has agreed- to Mr Service's proposal to protest against the action of Germany in the Pacific, but the South Australian Government for the present declines to join.
