Mails close for the following places as under (subject to tbe necessary alterations) :— i Wednesday, Dec. 24. [ Fop Otago, per special train, at 7 p.m. For West Coast Sounds (to connect with s.s. Stella at Bluff), at 8 p.m. , For Akaroi and Ota;?o per Hawea, at 8 p.m. 1 For United Kingdom and Continent of Europe via Brindisi (specially addressed correspondence only), Point de Gallo, India, China, Japan, &c., &c., and Australian Colonies ; and also for France, Algeria, Mauritius, Madagascar, Capo of Good Hope, &c. (specially addressed "Per French packet only"), at ß p.m. Friday, Dee. 25. For Northern Ports and Australian Colonies, per Wairarapa, at 10 a.m. Notice.— The Property Tar is now payable at all Money Order offices.
