LONDON, Dec. 22. A fire occurred in the parcels office, Windsor, last night, and after it had been extinguished an infernal machine was discovered among the debris. On examining the machine it was found that the fuse attached, in- • stead of causing an explosion, had : ignited the box in which it was conI tamed, and set fire to the office. *v

NEW YOKE, Dec. 21. Seventy of the ninety children who were reported missing after the fire at Brooklyn Catholic Orphanage have been found safe and uninjured, but nothing is yet known regarding the fate of the remainder.
LONDON, Dec. 22. Arrived — Ship Latona, from Timaru via Port Chalmers (August 25).
