Accident at Waikari.
[Special to the "Star.] AMBERLEY, Dec. 23, A serious accident happened tMs morning at Waikari to Mv W. M 'Naught, son of Mr T. M'Naught, of Amberley. Young M'Naught was xiding a horse early thiß morning, and the animal commencing to rear, he endeavoured to throw himself off. This lie did, but the horse fell upon him, • breaking one of his legs below the knee. Fortunately Dr Knight, of Waikari, was close at hand, and within an hour of the accident had the sufferer's limb properly set. The doctor made preparations for M'Naught's removal to his parents residence at Amberley by the midday train, and, accompanied by Dr Knight, he arrived safely, and was carefully carried home by his friends. He is progressing favourably.
