IBY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH-COPYRIGHT.'] The R.M.S. Aorangi. German Annexation Confirmed. An Absurd Mistake. [Eeuter's Telegrams.] [Received Dec. 23, at 1.20 p.m.J LONDON, Dec. 22. The New Zealand Shipping Company's Eoyal Mail steamer Aorangi, the first vessel under contract with the New Zealand Grovevnment, sailed from Plymouth at 3 p.m. on the 20th for New Zealand. , Despatches from Berlin give official confirmation of the German annexation of the northern portion of New Guinea and the Islands of New Britain, New Ireland, New Hanover, and the Admiralty group. Further investigation has shown that the box found in the debris of the fire at the Parcels Office, Windsor railway station, merely contained fishing winches, and was not, as at first supposed, an itifernal machine. BEELIN, Dec. 22. Three Miderwald machinists have been sentenced to death and two to ten years' penal servitude.
