Auckland Training Notes.

♦ — P?eb Press Association, j AUCKLAND, Dec. 22. The rain of the last two days has made the course very greasy this morning, and little else but moderate work was done. About the best spin was accomplished by libeller, who went twice round at a dingdong pace, the first time being accompanied T>y Telford. Libeller is looking very well, and got over the ground in a taking manner. The two-year-old filly Nemesis did a smart once round, and Alaric was sent about two miles. Topthorne and Southern Chief (in com- . pany) went twice round, and Macaroni and Julia Ann did long and steady ■work. Pipi was treated to a couple of rounds at a strong pace, but she is in no condition for a two and a quarter miles journey. Miranda went about a mile and a quarter, finishing up fast. The Painter did .similar work. The Poet got over two miles at a good pace. Administrator -cantered once round, finishing up fast, and Jack, Sou-W ester, and Ugly Buck, did easy tasks. Clarence and Barbary each, put in a couple of strong rounds, and Wood Nymph went three times round. Chaafe's team spurted in clothing, and Normanby, Witiora and Wideawake, who arrived from New Plymouth yesterday, did ■walking exercise. Mr Vallance's horses ■were ont before I arrived on the course, and other work done was unimportant.
