Mayoral Elections.
» ST ALBANS. The number of votes for each candidate ■was .as follows.: — Mr Bull 134 Mr Moor 61 Mr Bull is-therefore duly elected Mayor of St Albans. There were two informal votes in the ballot box. After the Beturning-Officer had announced the result of the poll, Mr. Ball, the Mayor-elect, addressed the burgesses prejsent, thanking those who had voted for Mm. He remarked that this was the third time he had sought their suffrages, he laving been twice previously returned as a Councillor. He hoped that he would give ■the same satisfaction in the future, in the discharge of his duties as Mayor, as he had in the past virile holding a seat in the ; Council, and concluded by proposing a J vote of thanks to the Beturning-Officer. j Mr F. Garrkk seconded the vote of thanks, and the acclamation of those present declared it carried. Mr Beatson having acknowledged the compliment, the proceedings terminated. I
