The Unemployed of Paris. ! * • LONDON, Nov. 24. \ Negotiations between Ministers and the Conservative leaders for the settlement of the franchise difficulty are not yet concluded. Both parties are, however, desirous of ovei-coming the present deadlock between the Upper and Lower Houses, and the conference held on Saturday has resulted in bringing a satisfactory agreement within approachable distance. !

CAIRO, Nov. 23. The transport of British troops detailed for service in the Soudan is ! being pushed forward as rapidly as ! possible, and detachments are daily I arriving at Dongola. A strong force is now encamped in the neighbourhood of the town, pending the final advance towards Berber and Khar- | toura.
