The match to take place in Melbourne, between the 11th and 18th October, the game to be 1000 lip If more than two players compete, each game to be 1000 up. All competitors to start from scratch. 2. Open to all comers who have resided in the Australian Colonies, New Zealand, or Tasmania rl2 months prior to the match. 3. Each player to stake £50, and the winner to take the stakes, and Messrs Alcock and Co.'s trophy. If more than three compete the runner-up to save his stake. 4. Nominations (£10) to be paid on or before the 30th Aujjust next to the sporting editor of " The Australasian." Acceptances (£2O) to be paid on or before 9th of September. 'The balance £20) to be paid on or before 9th October, or nominations and acceptances fee to bo orfeited and added to the stake 5. Proceeds of the hall (less expenses) to be devoted as .follows, viz. —One-third to the Melbourne Hospital, and two-thirds to be equalty divided amongst competitors. W.
