LONDON", Sept. 1. General Wolseley and Earl Northbroolc, British Commissioners, have started for Egypt, and will arrive at Alexandria on Saturday next.
HONG KONG, August 31. It is currently reported that China has issued a declaration of war against France, and that the Japanese Government has been notified to that effect. An official proclamation has been published at Canton, setting a price upon the heads of Frenchmen residing in Chinese territory.

["Retttee's Telegrams.] MELBOURNE, Sept. 1. The statement that Jessie was amongst the horses burned to death at Flemington stables was incorrect. None of the animals destro} r ed were prominent ones. Mr Service, Premier and Colonial Treasurer, has agreed to Mr Griffiths' proposal for a uniform import duty of 3s per gallon on Colonial wine.
