LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Tho Addington Yards wore not largely supplied with stock on Wednesday, and there waa hut a limited attendance of huyers. Sheep.—Amedivun entry of fat Bheepwas penned. The number on offer was not more than should havo commanded a very fair sale, but the demand throughout waa very (lull. At the commencement of the sale there was a decided drop of Is per head, but as the auction proceeded a slightly improved demand was noticeable, yet very little, if any, advance in price accompanied it. On the whole, values wore nearly Is a-head lower than last week. The centre of attraction amons the fat sheep was a pen of merino wethers, sent from Mr Leonard While's estate, which realised the exceedingly high price of 27s each. They were wonderful specimens of their sort, nnd much superior to any that have yet been seen in the Addington Yards. Prime cross-bred wethers sold at from 16s to 18s; medium ditto from lis 6d to 15s 6d; cross-bred ewes brought from 13s 6d to 16s 6d; good merinos sold at from 10s to 12s. We Quote prime crossbred wether mutton at about 2jd per lb; ditto, medium weight- and quality, mixed ewes and wethew, at from 2}d to 2Jd per lb. Of store sheep there vta.3 only a small entry, and owing probably to the absence of country buyers, the improved demand experienced during the past few weeks was scarcely maintained, one or two lines being passed in. Cattle.—About an average supply of fat cattle was yarded, including some lots of very good quality. Business was very dull, and several lines had to be turned out unsold. Steer and heifers Bold at from £510s for medium weight and quality up to £S 10s for the best lots on offer. Pigs.—There was only a small number of pigs yarded. The enquiry was not quite so brisk as last week, however but little difficulty was met with in ({bitting the various lots at price 3 about equal to ate rates. Porkers sold at from 25s to 395, and bacon pigs realised from 60s to 87s 6d each.
