♦—- An ordinary meeting «f:the Chttisichurch Hospital and Charitable Aid {Boasd was held yesterday afternoon ; pxese.pW-.Mr. J. G. Hawkes (in the chair), tthe Mayors of Sydenham and Lytteltoa, .and ttUe Hon E. C. -I. Stevens. REPORTS. The Hospital Committee reported ithat during tiie fortnight ending July 1% wneteen patients were admitted into the Hospital, and thirty-nine discharged, 'leaving fifty-six patients in the institution. Daring tbe same period, theee were four deaths. ?or the corresponding period of last year, the number of patients in the Hospital was J fl. It was reported that there was one patient in the Akaroa Hospital, and 56 in--mates in the Ashburton Old Men's Home. A copy of Dr {Jrabham's report on his xecent visit of inspection to the Hospital ■was laid before ithe Board. It was of a satisfactory nature, but dealt solely with matters of detail connected with the working of the institution. LTTTEI.TOS' .©BTHANAGB. Plans for a fire escape at the Lyttelton Orphanage, prepared by the master, were laid on the table, and referred to the Orphanage Committee. After transacting* some Charitable Aid. Business, the Board adjourned. •
