Arrival of the Football Team.

♦ [Special to the "Stab."] WELLINGTON, June 23. The long-expected Wakatipu came intoharbour, this morning at 7 o'clock, and every snip in the harbour lias hoisted bunting in honour of our victorious representatives. Messrs W. and E. Millton and Helmore are among the passengers, having thought it better to come over -with, the rest of the team than to go round by Melbourne, as it was reported was their intention. The banquet this evening promises to be a grand success ; the Governor himself will take the chair, and speak. Every man of the team looks in Bplendid health and spirits after the trip. It is unlikely that a match will be played here, as was intended. The representatives have had enough and t© spare of football.
