To tho Editor of the "Lyttelton Times," Christchurch, New Zealand. Dexr Sir, — I desiro to add my cheerful endorsement of tho good effects I have at all times received frorn^ tho use of St Jncobs Oil whon in nctive training and racing during my recent sis days' contest held in the Melbourne Exhibition Building, for £500 and the championship of tho Australian and adjacent Colonies. It was ray boon companion, I continually used it before and after each day's performance, and the results simply astonished inc. After riding for eight conseeutivo hours each day — viz., from half-past 2 until half-past 10, my limbs would become sore and stiff from over exertion, but after being well rubbed with the Oil, all muscular pain immediately vanished, aud I felt as fresh as ever. As proof positive, after tho contest was over, I rode 100 miles against time before a public audience, and accomplished it iv G hours 11 minutes 451 seconds. Another application of St Jacobs Oil was made, and it removed all feeling of fatigue, and I felt perfectly fit for another race. Am positive it aided me to wiu the match, and I shall never cuter a similar contest without a. bicycle and St Jacobs Oil. . I strongly advise all " wheelmen" and other athletes to give it a trial, and feel fully convinoed their experiences will compare favourably with uiy own. I remain, dear Sir, yours truly, JOHN ROLFE. "O OWING. ONE OF THE WORLD'S GREATEST OARSMEN. MR EDWARD THICKETT, THE CELEBRATED OARSMAN GAVE THE FOLLOWING AS HIS OPINION: — " I have found St Jacob 3 Oil a sure and certain cure, and one nnequalled by any medicine. It cured me of severe pains in tho back, brought ou by over-exertiou in rowing. It is a pleasaut, safe, and sure remedy, penetrating at once to the seat of the disease, and eradicating the complaint without further trouble." And now he says that St Jacobs Oil and good athletic training are what onr young men want. INTERNATIONAL PATENT AND TRADE MARKS' OFFICE. 87, Bourke street West, Melbourne, 23rd November, ISB3. Messrs Publishers Age. Dear Sirs,— I have much pleasure in testifying to the efficacy of St Jacobs Oil ns a cure for toothache aud rheumatism ; one of my household, after trying numerous remedies for toothache, was induced to try St Jacobs Oil. It was rubbed on the cheek, and plugged iv the tooth, nud iv ten minutes the paiu had gone. In another case, it was well rubbed in for rheumatism, and after the first rubbing a cure was effected. Iv neither case has the pain returned. There is no doubt tfcat it is an excellent household remedy. I am, dear Sirs, yours faithfully, 6156 B EDWARD WATERS. Business Notices.
