♦ The ordinary monthly meeting of the Committee of the Canterbm-y Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held at 2 o'clock this afternoon ; present — Messrs Hugh M'llraith, "W. Norman, E. J. T. Ford, R. Sutherland, P. Duncan, S. Garforth, W. Boag, E. S. Harley, J. M'Beth, J. E. Parker, and J. Mann. Mr W. Norman was voted to the chair. Accounts amounting in the aggregate to ,£163 19s 4d were passed for payment. The Secretary made reports for the Premium Catalogue Committee, which met on Tuesday last. It had been decided that a three days' show should be held this year, i on Nov. 10, 11, 12 (Monday, Tuesday, and j Wednesday). The last day to be the day

for the million, and prices to be for the first day 2s 6d, second day 6s, third day from 9 a.m. to noon, 2s (3d; after that hour, Is. A number of alterations in the general regulations were suggested and approved. During the discussion of these, Mr T. Bruce, President, entered the room, and took the Chair, which was vacated by Mr Norman. Mr J. E. Parker moved that a new class should be added for three rams, under 18 months, in Sections 3, 4, 5 and 8 (English and Border Leicesters, Lincolns, Roniney Marsh and Southdowns). This was adopted. Be Section 10, cross-bred sheep. Class 53 was struck out, and another class substituted. A silver medal to be given for the best pen in the four classes of this section for the most useful cross. In Section 20— Fat Cattle— two new classes were added, for three-year-old heifers and steers bred and fed by exhibitor. In Section 27— Hunters — the words " over a fair hunting fence " wpre substituted for " over a four-feet jump." In Section 28, it was added that the leaping match should take place on the last day of the show, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. [Left sitting.]
