Attempted Destruction of the Toronto Parliament Buildings. Intense Excitement. [Retjter's Telegrams.] | Received May 2, at 10.50 a.m.J LONDON, May 1. In the House of Commons last night a Bill to legalise the cremation of dead bodies was rejected after a debate.
TORONTO, April 30. A plot to destroy the Parliament buildings in this city has been frustrated. Several powerful dynamite cartridges., with fuses attached ready for firing, were discovered this evening in the basement of the building, and were promptly destroyed. The affair has caused intense excitement here. No clue to the guilty parties has yet been obtained.
