PREBBLETON.

A meeting of the Licensing Committee was held in the Road Board office, Prebbleton, on Monday; present — Messrs J. N. Tosswill (Chairman), Brittan, and Overton. Transfers of licenses were granted from M'Grandell to R. J. Clark, also from Mr Lyndham to G. P. Kisscll. ; Mr Bartram, of Lincoln, had to appear before the Board to show cause why his licensed house was not finished by the given time. He explained that the contractor had thrown up the job, and was allowed two months more to complete the house. The constable's report on the licensed houses in the district was favourable. There being no other business, the meeting adjourned.
