A meeting of the abort Olub was held at Mr Okaapion'a oftoe, Kaiapoi, on Monday «rewng. Tke Stewards and a good attendance of members were present, with Mr Tf. F. Pearion, ' M.H.8,, in the chair. The amounts won at the lato meeting were paid orer is follow* •— Mr Lunn, £47 10s; Mr T. Sheanan, £83 6b; Mr A. Lse, £28 10a } Mr M. Danoao, £23 IKi; Mr F. Buioh, £26 6s |Mr J. Hiller. £19; Mr Winsloe, £18) Mr Q. M'Olure £9> lOi; Mr H. M'Loan, £6 16s; Mr W. Stark* £2 17b j Mr J. Hioks, £8 17s. Other ao! oonnti, amounting to £18 5a ad, were paiied for payment. On the motion of Mr Hopkins, leconded by Mr Burnip, the protest of Mr H. M'Lean against jPenrase for running outside the post id the District Hurdles was disallowed, but the deposit fee wsb refondod. After considerable diioussion upon the manner in whioh the horn Psyohe was ridden for the Publioans' Purse, the Stewards decided to disqualify her owner, Mr Bheenan, the jockey,, and the horse from running at the Ohoka oonrse during the pleasure of the (Hub, and the Seoretary was requested (o notify all Clubs, running under the 0. J.O. ruleii, of the resolution. Mr Malcolm Duncan attended, and brought under the notice of the Stewards' the eridanoe relative to the protest lodged by Mr M'Lean against Mor in the District Flat Baoe, and after a long consideration it was decided to disqualify the jockey of Mor, Mr Alexander Miller. Mr Dunoan preiented the Secretary with the mount fee, to be given away for a oharitable purpose, as he did not tbink the jockey was entitled to any remuneration. The meeting then adjourned.
