♦ [Pbb Pbbbs Absooiatioh.] THB CHARGE AGAINST THB E DENHAM SOHOOL. WELLINGTON, Dbo. 8. A oomplaint has been made to the authorities regarding the condition of three ohildren, named Neilson, reoently released from Burnham Industrial School, after being same ten months there. When sent there, they were well olothed, clean, and healthy. On being restored to their parents, at Masterton recently, they were ragged, filthy, crawling with lice, covered with sereß, and with dirt ingrained in the oraoks of the skin. *Xh« immigration nominations for the outgoing mail are as follow :— Canterbury, 109 j Wellington, 89; Otago, 85; Auokland, 72; Souchland, 83 -, Westland, 20; Hawko's Bay and Marlborough, 14 eaoh ; Taranaki and Nelson, 6 eaoh; total, 446, equal to 388} statute adults. The amount received was £1257. The nationalities comprise 173 Iriih, 162 English, 94 Sootoh, and 17 foreigners.
