The following sittings of tbe Supreme Oourt in the Canterbury distriot are gaaetted : — Sittings, for trial of criminal oases, will be held at the Courthouse, Ohristohuroh, to oommenoe on the following days, at 11 a.m. : — Monday, Jan. 7; Monday, April 7; Mon* day, July 7 ; Monday, Oct. 6. Sittings for the trial of civil aotione will oommenoe on the following days, at 11 a.m. :— Monday, Jan. 14 (a portion of the telegram has apparently been omitted in transmission) exoept during vacation, or during the absenoe of the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other business. Sittings in Chambers at other times,' and in vaoation, in respeot of urgent business, may be held at suoh times and plaoes as may suit the oonvenienoe of the Judge. Sittings for the trial of oriminal and oivil oases, and of causes under the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, will be held at the Court-house, Timaru, to commence on the following days at 11 a.m.: Tuesday, June 2, Tuesday, Deo. 9. Bueineas in Chambers may be disposed of on Monday, April 21; Monday, June 16; Monday, July 14 ; Monday, August 16 ; Monday, Sept. 22 j Monday, Oot. 13. The trial of oases under the " Divoroa and Matrimonial Causes Aot, 1867," may take plaoe at any of the above-mentioned sittings for the trial of oivil actions. Sittings of the Oourt in Banco will be held at the Courthouse, Ohristohureh, every Wednesday exoept during vaoation or during the absenoe qf the Judge, or unless the Judge is engaged on other business. Sittings in Chambers will be held at the Judge's Chambers in the Courthouse, Ohristohuroh, every Tuesday and Friday in the oourse of these sittings, or on suoh days and at suoh hours as the Judge may appoint. If any of the daya above appointed for sittings should be publio holidaya, the sittings will oommenoe on the day after the day so appointed.
