LONDON, Dec. 5. Consols remain at 100_> ex div. New Zealand securities : — 5 per cent 10-40 loan, 105 ; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 104; 4_- per oent 18791904 loan, 101 i; 4 per cent inscribed stock, 100|, ex div. Colonial breadstuffs and Australian tallow remain at last quotations. At to-day's wool auotion 9400 bales were catalogued. A firm and active demand prevailed. The ship Loch Fyne, which left Lyttelton for London on May 14, and has not since been beard of, has been posted at Lloyd's as missing. SYDNEY, Dec. 6. Sailed — Zealandia, s.s., for Auckland ; and Wakatipn, s.s., for Wellington. The former takes specie valued at £50,500 for San Francisco. MELBOURNE, Dec. 6. It is now known that Martin Weiberg, tbe Avooa gold robber, was not drowned at Waratah Bay, as reported a few weeks ago, but is alive, and was a passenger to England by tbe steamship Sorata, whioh left here on Deo. 1. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agenoy Oompany, at their wool sale to-day, offered 4200 bales. 3500 bales were sold at excellent prices, fine sorts being in very good demand. There was a good attendance of Home and foreign buyers, and good competition was experienced, prices being firmly maintained. -
