♦ An adjonmed meeting of the above Committee was neld at the Oddfellows' Hall, Lichfield street, laßt evening. Delegates from the Perseverance, City, and Benevolent Lodges of Oddfellows, and Hope of St Albans (Druids) were present. Mr Smart was voted to the ohair. An apology for the absence of Mr Landford (the regular Ohairman) waa read. The buainess of the meeting waa to consider whether a picnio or fete should be held, or whether the materials used for sports in the hands of the Oommittee should be disposed of. Some discussion took plaoe as to the best method of disposing of the two i prize oups, the property of the Committee. The general opinion waa that the Oommittee should endeavour to act in this matter so as to avoid giving any cause for complaint, and it was resolved that the Lioensed Victuallers should be conaulted as to whether thoy would prefer the oup they bad given to the Committee being offered to the Popular Sports Oommittee or the Caledonian Sooiety. Tbe Friendly Societies' oup, it was agreed, should be offered to the Amalgamate*! Societies of Lyttelton, to be compoted for in the sports they purpose holding in the Heathcote Valley. Messrs Kent and Gardiner (Hon dec.) were authorised to carry out tho wishes of the meeting as to the disposal of the cups, and also with rogard to the sale of property and the meeting adjourned to Thursday, Dec. 18, at the same time and placo.
