The Annexation Conference. Wool Sales.

SYDNEY, Nov. 29. It has been definitely deoided by the Convention that members of the Press shall be ezoluded. The question was put to the vote. Tho Tiotorian and New Zealand delegates voted in favour of the admission of the Press, but the other delegates were against it. The Convention deoided that a memorial, prepared by Europeans resident in Fiji, may be presented for consideration. At this morning's sitting, Mr Service's proposals in favour of annexation of the Paoifio Islands were discussed* at great length. - At this afternoon's sitting of the Conference a long disoussion took plaoe on the draft of the series of resolutions tabled by Mr Service advocating the annexation of New Guinea, the New Hebrides and other islands of the Paoifio. The text of the resolution's in withheld from the Press. Further discussion of Mr Service's motion stands adjourned till to morrow. MELBOURNE, Nov. 29. At their wool auotion to-day, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, offered 3000 bales, the bulk of whioh were sold at satisfactory prices. A paroel of superior greasy wool bropght ls 3-fcd. There was a large attendanoe of buyer*, and brisk competition. Good qualities were firm at about the same prioe, and hardening tendency, Scoured combing and washed fleeoe wools are now a halfpenny to a penny higher than at the close of last auction. Washed and scoured oroBS-breda are about a penny higher, and greasy croßß-breds and good greasy merinos show an advanoe of a half-penny. For new clip wools there is Btrong competition, at prices a halfpenny to a penny higher. Ab at the laßt sale inferior and faulty wools are rather lower. The oatalogue to-day was fairly representative.
