THE KAIAPOI ELECTION.
TO THI BDITOB 07 THI " STAB." Bib, —ln your Monday evening's issue I aaw a letter signed " P." Had he not dragged my namo beforo the publio I ehould not havo taken any notioe af his anonymous soribbling, but I hurl baok the insinuation that I am, or have been aoting dishonestly in any way toward the interost of the burgesses in the matter of bridge contraot. And that it haa been emphatically denied to the satisfaction of tho majority of the ratepayers that Councillors Moore or Butt are not in any way connected withthe bridge contract, will be proved by the votes of the burgesses on Wodnotday evening. When your correspondent's fertile brain haß conoeoted anothor suoh a specimen, let him aign his name to it, and not come before the public aao coward aahamed of it.— I am, ko., BIOHABD WOODFOBD. Kaiapoi, Nov. 27.
