Australian tallow remains dull — best beef, 38s 6d ; best mutton, 395. At'the wool sale to-day 10,000 bales were oatalogued. The tone of the auction was firm, and there was a good demand for Australian crosa-breds. The homeward mails via Brindisi, which left Melbourne on Oct. 11, were delivered in London today.
