West Coast Line Survey.
♦- The Government have completed arrangements with Messrs Dobson und Sons, of this city, for a survey of the Weßt Coast line from Horsley Downs to Lake Brunner, through the Hurunui and Teremakau. valleys and over the Teremakau saddle;, the survey to be completed in time for the opening of the next session of' Parliament. This is the same line as was sutvejed by Mr Dobson in 1867; It is understood that Government are negotiating to have a survey of the Otira Gorge route, and an alternative line by way of Lake Lyndon,, alio made. „v,.CJj.,, *■— *~**~~* » II 'I " -J lIii.
