Municipal Nominations.
Mr Henry Crooks was yesterday nominated ] to represent the North- east Ward of the Oity vice Councillor Thomson, whoße term of office is expiring, and who, it is understood, does not intend to offer himself for re eleotion. MrW. H. Hosking and Mr 0. Kiver, the pretend member, have been nominated for the representation of the South-eastward ; and Mr Hugh Bennetts for the South-west Ward. The nomination of candidates for tbe three vacancies on tbe St Albans Borough Oounoil, oauied by the retirement of Councillors Bull, Money and Bonn tree, and for the extraordinary vacancy through the resignation of Councillor Blakiston, took plaoe at the Borough office at noon yesterday. There was only one nomination for the latter, Mr Thomas Cooper, who has been declared duly eleoted. The otndidates for the threa other seats are Messrs B. Bull, L. F. Garnetfc, W. Hinton, H. J. Boss., E. Baiter and Thomas Summerfcon. A poll for the eleotion of three of the abeve will be held on S»pt. 13. ;
