Waimakariri Harbour Board.

♦ The ordinary monthly meeting of this Board was held last evenißg ; present:—Messrs Hurse (Chairman), Moore, G-. H. Wearing, E. Farnham, H. J. Day, B. H. Matthews. The balance at the bank was reported to be £121 6s lid ; receipts for tbe past month, £39" lls 6d ; accounts passed, £2 Is. A letter was read from t c Pilot (Mr G. F. Day) stating that owing to illness he was incapacitated from aoling. r J he Chairman informed the meeting that he had appointed Mr B. Day in temporary charge. This was approved. A letter, covering the annual report of the Marine Board, was received. It was decided to reinsure the premises known as the Mill. The Secretary was requested to write to tenants re arrears of rents. The Clerk handed in security bond by B. L. Higgins. Mr Wearing atked leave to return Mr Wilson's bond, as he had closed his connection with the Board. Granted. The Ohairman called attention to the fact of Mr Fetersen interfering wiih the duties of the acting-pilot, and requested the Board to take immediate action to put a stop thereto. It was resolved to caution Mr Fetersen not to repeat the offence, and to inform him of the consequences that would result from a repetition of suoh action. The proceedings then terminated.
