In consequence of the difficulty whioh was experienced in making arrangements for the transit of the Suez mails aoresa the Continent, and the striot quarantine regulations enforced at the various Mediterranean seaports, the next two mails will be brought by steamer direot to Plymouth, instead of being landed at Brindisi. The morning Press, oammenting upon the appointment of M. Waddington as Frenob. Ambassador to the Court of Sfc James, generally agree in regarding it as evidence of- amity towards England on the part of the French Government, and as calculated to ensure the continuance of harmonious diplomatic relations between the two countries.
