SECOND DAY.

A fair number of visitors went out by the speoial, and by the time the first course was run about 600 were on the ground, a number of ladies being present. The weather was very nice. Cup. in. Azalea teat Bannerman Mistletoe beat Clio (1) Eockwood beat Hop Bitters Harpsichord beat Myrtle Bed of Stone beat Box Harlingham beat Obstacle Sea Foam beat Queen PUBSB. I. Lula beat Vivette Sir George beat Gert Bell Lorrimer beat Fixie Alchemist beat Maggie Solway beat Tease Cup : First i iea.— Bannerman and Azalea ran a good trial, but the latter had the most speed and worked best. Olio and Mistletoe ran a brilliant trial, resulting in an undecided. Bookwood led a length and turning, plaoed Hop Bitters, who ran cleverly and fast in some good points. The dog then got in, and aftor some good work killed and won a fine course. Harpsiohord led Myrtle three lengths for first turn, and placing the latter for a turn took charge again, but quiokly tiring, Myrtle \ scored a suooeeaion of beautiful points, and won a grand spin with plenty to spare. Clio got very badly away from slips, being momentarily unsighted] Myrtle in the meantime brought round the hare and Olio nicked in for some close work, but Mjrtle quiokly went past, and, Olio tiring, allowed her opponent to score and kill. Box had a long singlehanded spin, Bed of Stone not getting fairly sighted. Hurlingham in a long race drew out slightly in front as Obstacle steadied for the drive ; putting it round, the latter rushed in, but coming round wide gave way to the white. Good work was done by both, but the black was not bo steady at his turns as Hurlingham, w"ho effected a grand kill and won. Sea Foam led Queen a good three lengths, turned, and placed Queen, who killed and put heraelf out. Bed of Stone led Box, and keeping selfish possession, won a good trial right out whtn she killed.

PunSß : First Round. — Vivotte never had a show with Lulu, who soon pulled down a weak hara, Sir George drew out two lengths, and turned once, pioking up his hare, and quiokly put the matter out of doubt. Pixie took first turn, and let in Bel Lorrimer, who, in tho most artistic s'.yle, kept clever possession, and killing wen a well contested course, in which Pixie, when it came to racing, showed best pace. Btlisarius and Sea Drilfc ran an undecided. Alohemist was a long way in advance when ho took first two turns, Maggie nioked in, and tho dog in driving stumbled and let the bitch in ogam. Borne brilliant exchanges followed, and when Maggie killed Alohemist had well won. Solway beat Tease in a well run trial, both working cloaely, but Solway was a trifle faster.
