Bight Hours Bill — "That in the opinion of this meeting the time has now arrived wheß the Eight Hoirs Bill, as introduced into the House of Bepresentativcs by Mr M» W. Green, should beoome law." Corrupt Praotioos Act—" Tbat tho Government be requested to amend the Corrupt Practices Aot in the direotion of limiting" the expenses of any candidato to £50 ■ compelling candidates or their agents to lodgo sworn statements in detail of such expenditure with the Rt-turning-Oflioer for publication, fixing the penalty of £500 for making a filee statement, enabling any person who may prove such sworn statements are falae or incomplete to receive half of euch penally, and making parsons guilty of making euch, fulee atutcmeuta liable for perjury."
