The following particulars of tbe loss of the Agnes Jessie at Mania are given by the Napier Telegraph : The vessel was driven into the bight of Hawfce's Bay, and being hnavily ladea and on a lee shore, tho captain found it impossible to get her out again. Both hex oables bavin* parted, the captain deoided, after consulting the mate, to beach the Tassel at Te Hoe. This was accomplished in a heavy sea, the vessel grounding some considerable distance from the shore. Tha mate and threo of the hands managed to pet whore in one ot the boats and proceeded to Mahia for help. "Die capiain and tluj otber five men stack to tbe vessel until 6 p.m., on Snzday, when the sea iaoretsed and the vessel began rapidly to break up. The longboat was then launched, and the five men «ot into ber, but before they could get dear of the vessel tbe boat capsized, sad all but tbe ciptain were drowned.
