The first wash up at Woodstock took placo to-day. Twenty-two ounces were obtained from a quantity'estitnated at forty«fivo loads. Tha water having been brought in several other claims will wash up next week, as many have their paddooks full, and are only waiting for water. On tho other hand it is only right to say that sevoral duffers haro boon bottomed lately, and I again warn iuoxperioncod inon against coming. Ono of your Canterbury men says ho left as good as £10 a week to come to Woodstock. It is to be hoped that no ono olso will bo so foolish. He is now grumbling about tho rush becaueo his claim has turned out badly. [Pee Pebbs Association.] Ournick and parly, at Woodstock rush, washed up on Saturday, and obtainod 22 ounccß gold, result from 40 loads washdirt. The rush is ortending daily, and there aro about 1203 men on tho Hold.
